Student Recognition and Awards

While helping our communities every day, our IRPD have taken huge steps in their projects throughout the year and have accomplished some amazing things as well. Students have applied for grants, achieved state-wide recognition, and attended national conferences to present their work. Check out some of their awards below!

Silicon Valley Clean Energy Grant

Students working in clean energy were able to apply and secure a $10,000 grant to push forth their projects!

NSTA Recognition

Our student's projects have been recognized by the National Science Teacher's Association and were given the opportunity to present to the science teachers of America!

Foothill College Credit

The authentic research and genuine efforts from our students have been recognized by Foothill college, giving 10 college credits to all students attending the course.

National Geographic Grant

Our IRPD student Ananya, working in creating sustainable period products, was able to receive a $2000 grant from National Geographic recognizing her work!

District Presentation

The IRPD class was honored to present at the FUHSD board on the Turf vs. Grass issue. Our class research project proposed to us by Superintendent Graham Clark culminated in a final presentation showcasing our empathy interviews and research, aiding the board in this critical decision.

Stanford Research Collaboration

IRPD student Lemon is currently working with researchers at Stanford, bringing her vision of familiarizing new students with the MV environment to life. They are using AI to make this process more streamlined and user-friendly.
